Avista Holidays Ltd Booking Conditions

It is important that you read the following booking conditions and information:

What we need to know:

When you book your holiday, we need to know your Name (s) Full Address and Telephone number. We will try to meet any special requests if possible but they cannot be guaranteed. Any such requests should be made at the time of booking to us and not to the Hotel.

Terms of booking:

Deposits at time of booking:
UK holidays £50.00 per person – balance due 42 days prior to departure.
European holidays £100 per person – balance due 42 days prior to departure.
You will be asked to complete an insurance disclaimer / booking form, this must be returned to us signed before travel.
The balance of your holiday cost must be paid 6 weeks prior to departure, unless otherwise arranged with Avista Holidays Limited.


In the event of you having to cancel your holiday please refer to our cancellation charges below. These charges apply to all holidays booked through ourselves.

Cancellation charges for cancellations made by you:

Period Before Departure – % Cancellation Scale:

  • Prior to 42 Days – Deposit paid
  • 28 to 42 Days – 100%
  • 14 to 27 Days – 100%
  • 7 to 13 Days – 100%
  • Departure Day – 100%

Holiday alteration by you:

Should you wish to make any changes to your booking you must advise us as soon as possible in writing. We cannot guarantee to be able to make changes to your booking but we will try our very best. We charge an amendment fee of £10 per booking to cover administration costs (in addition to any charges imposed by our suppliers.

Alterations and cancellations by us:

Occasionally we may have to make changes to advertised holidays before or after confirmation. We try to avoid changes or cancellations to your holiday, but we must reserve the right to do so. If your holiday gets cancelled, any insurance purchased by you from other parties or other expenses will not be refunded by Avista Holidays Ltd. If any of our suppliers increase prices regarding your holiday booked with us, we may have to pass this on to you as a surcharge. On some occasion’s we may introduce special offers on tour prices, the new offer price will only apply to new booking made after the offer price has been applied.


If you are not at your departure point at the given time, we are unable to wait. No refund for your holiday or extra expenses incurred by you will be given.     


If a client behaves in such a way as in our reasonable opinion or the reasonable opinion of a person in authority to cause offence, danger, damage distress or annoyance to other customers, employees, property or to any third party. If you are prevented from travelling because of termination, our responsibility for your holiday there upon ceases. Full cancellation charges will apply and we will be under no obligation whatsoever for any refund, compensation or loss you may incur.


Foreign holidays:

For all foreign inclusive holiday’s, you will require a full British Passport. Passengers who are not British Citizens may require travel visas. We cannot accept responsibility for any loss or expense suffered by passengers who are not in possession of the correct travel documents. It is advised that you obtain Form E111 from the Post Office. It is advised that all passengers be insured on all foreign holidays.

No smoking and no alcohol:

All of our coaches are non-smoking including electronic cigarettes, also none alcohol even when parked.

Duty paid limits:

Due to weight restriction’s it is at the driver’s discretion to refuse to allow excess amounts of goods on the coach and in no circumstances, must the legal limit set by H.M. Customs be exceeded. Any person detained by Customs will be responsible for their own transportation home and our liability ends at that point. Any person travelling with Avista Holidays Ltd will not carry goods through H.M. Customs for any other person travelling on the same holiday.
If rules change for bringing in goods from the Continent to the UK because of Brexit, no refunds for any holidays booked will be given for this reason.

People requiring special assistance:

We accept bookings from persons with special needs and are happy to advise on the suitability of the holiday of your choice. We would point out that some hotels although they can cater for wheelchairs with lifts and doorways etc, you could find that in some cases there could be steps or stairs to contend with, we would be more than happy to get the full facts from any hotel we use.

Information referring to our tours:

We always endeavour to give precise, accurate information to telephone enquiries. However, we cannot accept liability for information given orally to customers unless it is confirmed in writing.
