The 17th century was the heyday of Hoorn, when it was one of the most important Dutch East India Company centres. Just like Amsterdam, Hoorn developed into a very prosperous town. Dozens of monuments and churches even today act as a reminder of this major historical period.
Cape Horn, the southernmost point of the American continent was named after Hoorn, today the maritime past has left its mark on the face of the harbour town.
Enjoy the historic town centre of Hoorn with its little shopping paradise, with lots of terrace cafes bars and restaurants to enjoy. The nearby dunes and beaches are a perfect destination for the afternoon.

Alkmaar in Holland is known as the city of cheese, the title covers only part of what the town has to offer. There is a beautiful old centre with historic monuments, a shopping districts with countless welcoming terraces, cafes and restaurants for every budget. Alkmaar has a number of interesting museums, including the Stedelijk Museum, Beatles Museum, Beer Museum, and naturally the Cheese Museum. Outside the city is the beach and dunes, just fifteen minutes away.

Amsterdam is one of the world’s most exciting cities, famous for its tree lined canals, relaxed atmosphere and cafe bars, with plenty of opportunities for shopping and dining out at remarkable restaurants. A canal cruise will familiarize you with the complex network of waterways and charming bridges that loom above, there are 1,300 of them.
